About the artist · Mizuna
A connection to golf,
painted in oils.
Original paintings and signed editions of the places that make the game mean so much.
Mizuna is devoted to golf: its courses, its defining holes and the moments that stay with you. Each work begins as an original oil painting, before becoming an edition to live with.
Why golf?
Some places stay with you.
A bridge crossed. A hole remembered. A moment you still think about.
The walk over the Swilcan Bridge, the challenge of the Road Hole, the quiet before a shot over water. Golf gives places a meaning that lasts long after the round is over.
Mizuna paints those places so they can live beyond the course. Each work begins with the character of a real setting: its light, its landscape and what it means to the people who know it.
Golf is the whole subject.
